Blood Donation Campaign

 

       To grow trees, it is necessary to have water, sunlight and carbon dioxide. But if the tree can’t get this three species, the tree will dead in few time. As well as the human need water, food and oxygen to live. They have a good transport inside of their body. It is the blood.as The blood is very important to people. Blood helps to transport oxygen and other things in human body. There are four kinds of blood. A, B, AB and O. Sometimes some patients need blood as they do not have enough blood in their bodies. So mother Parakrama organized a blood donation campaign on 4th of October. This was the third time of this campaign.

         We organized this blood donation campaign to commemorate the death of our vice principal madam S.N.T. Nugawela, our beloved teacher Mr A.M.A.S. Abekoon one of the members of the non-academic staff Mr Chandrasena.
        In this year (2013) doctor Lee and his staff came our school to help us to do this program. Nearly 200 people were come to donate their blood. The principal of our school, board of prefects and the students helped to do this program successfully.
